T he R.C.N.A. Education Committee is pleased to welcome you to another great educational symposium. This year held in conjunction with the 2011 R.C.N.A. Annual Convention in Windsor! The symposium, a full day of diverse numismatic topics, is entitled "Tokens: Canada's Other Money".

Henry Nienhuis, FCNRS, FRCNA - A collector of Canadian Decimal, Canadian Error, and Dutch Provincial coinage. He is the author of many numismatic articles and a regular contributor to The CN Journal. Henry is currently RCNA Education Committee Chairman, Associate Editor of The CN Journal, president of the Canadian Error and Varieties Numismatic Association, and a Fellow of the Canadian Numismatic Research Society.
Paul Berry, FCNRS - As Chief Curator of the National Currency Collection, Currency Museum, Paul is responsible for the development, care and research of the Collection. Paul is a past president, life member and archivist of the Canadian Paper Money Society. He is a fellow of the CNRS (Canadian Numismatic Research Society) and a Deputy Chairman of the J. Douglas Ferguson Historical Research Foundation. He has given presentations on various numismatic themes at both a local and national level before hobby groups, academic institutions, historical societies and cultural organizations In 2000 he was awarded the Ruth McQuade Literary Award by the CPMS.
Ermin Chow - A young numismatist from Edmonton, AB, Ermin collects coins from Canada, Newfoundland and the United States, as well as Canadian paper money. He is a member of the RCNA and ANA, and is currently serving as a Junior Director for the Edmonton Numismatic Society. He has written several articles appearing in the CN Journal and ENS Planchet including- Exhibiting at the RCNA Convention, The Canadian Silver
Maple Leaf, and The Best of the RCNA Convention, which has received the Guy Potter Literary Award. Recipient of a scholarship this year to the ANA's Summer Seminar in Colorado Springs he plans to take the Introduction to Grading United States Coins class.
Scott Douglas, FCNRS - A member of the Canadian Numismatic Research Society, Scott has written numerous articles on numismatics that have been published in various club journals and newsletters. Scott is a Charter member of the South Wellington Coin Society serving as the Society's first President and currently as Vice President, archivist and club historian. He is a past President and Vice President of the Buffalo Numismatic Association. He is also currently the President of the London Numismatic Society and is Vice President and Secretary/Treasurer of the Canadian Association of Token Collectors.
Ron Greene, FCNRS - For almost forty years Ron has been an active researcher and writer of British Columbia's and Canada's numismatic history, publishing many articles and a book. He is a past President of the Canadian Numismatic Research Society, Past President of the Canadian Paper Money Society. A recipient of the Royal Canadian Mint Medal for Numismatic Education in 1991 and the J. Douglas Ferguson Award in 1986. Apart from numismatics, Ron has served as chairman of Victoria's Heritage Advisory Committee, President of the Victoria Civic Heritage Trust and Chairman of the Maritime Museum of B.C. Foundation. He won the Heritage Canada Regional Award of Honour in 1982.
Harry James, FCNRS - Has been involved in numismatics for over 50 years. He is a member of the RCNA, ONA, and the St. Thomas Numismatic Association and is currently serving as president of the Canadian Numismatic Research Society and president of the Canadian Association of Token Collectors. Harry is the author of a number of books on tokens and is currently serving as editor of Numismatica Canada, the official newsletter jointly published by the CNRS and the CATC.
Paul Petch, FRCNA, FONA - Contributed two chapters to the first CNA Numismatic Correspondence Course and served as a speaker at several of the Numismatic Classroom Courses held at Humber College. He was editor of The CN Journal for 2003 and 2004 and chaired the 2004 Convention in Toronto. Since that time he was the copy editor for both the second CNA Numismatic Correspondence Course and the Canadian Numismatic Bibliography. In addition to bringing the Bibliography to its final printed form, he has been actively working towards a digital computer-based format. Paul is immediate past president of the Medallic Art Society of Canada and is serving his second term as president of the Ontario Numismatic Association.
